St. Tammany Parish government recently thanked Dr. Pramod Menon for the job he performed as interim coroner, taking on the challenge of running an office that was reeling in the wake of former coroner Dr. Peter Galvan’s resignation and guilty plea to federal corruption charges. Menon, in turn, thanked a host of others for helping him keep the office going until Dr. Charles Preston was elected to fill the remainder of Galvan’s term.
“We left a more functional, efficient and transparent Coroner’s Office for Dr. Preston,” Menon told the St. Tammany Parish Council June 5, later adding, “The citizens should expect great things from Dr. Preston.”
